Did you set a flamenco (or any type of) resolution last January?

How’s that going?

If the goals you set feel like distant memories, read on. Today I will tell you how you can get back on track and explain why you don’t want to beat yourself up for having let things slide.

So you haven’t thought about your resolution in awhile?

Let’s do that now.

Think back on a flamenco goal you set for this year.

What was it?

Now is the time to reconnect with your why.

And remind yourself of your plan.

You might need to adjust that plan.

Or look for new sources of motivation.

You might need to make changes to the goal itself. Maybe it was too big. Or perhaps it wasn’t specific enough.

What you don’t need to do is wait until January to begin anew.

Setting a resolution at the start of a new year can be a powerful act. But we must not let it end there. For a resolution to stick we need to revisit and reevaluate regularly.

With one month left in the year, now is the time to do just that.

How to Hit Reset on Your (Flamenco) New Year’s Resolution:

  1. What was your goal?

  2. Why?

  3. Do you still want that?

If the answer is Yes: What was your plan to achieve it? Is that plan working? If not do you need to make it more specific? Do you need to take it down a notch? Do you have the necessary tools to carry out your plan?

If the answer is No: What do you want now? Why? What new plan will you put in place to make it happen?

An Important Note

If you set a flamenco resolution and didn’t stick to it, please don’t beat yourself up. It’s not productive. It’s actually detrimental as it can make you shut down or deter you from setting future goals. The fact that you didn’t follow through is information. Valuable Information you can use in setting next year’s resolution, or any future goals. I touched on that a bit above, and I’ll talk about it more later. Stay tuned.…
